Social Programme

Please remember to bring your conference badge along to all of the social events (tours, dinner).

Option 1 — Shorter tour (~2 hours)

A shorter option focusing on the highlights of the historic city centre.

• Meeting point: in front of the Prešeren Monument, in the centre of Ljubljana
• Start: promptly at 15:30 — please arrive on time
• Getting there: by bus No. 18 or 18L (stops near FRI), by taxi, or on foot. The easiest and cheapest option is bus 18/18L; tickets can be paid by contactless debit/credit card directly on the bus (one-way €1.50). Board at the “Živalski vrt – ZOO” stop (across from the ZOO entrance) and exit at “Pošta.” Cross the road and continue along Čopova Street, which takes you directly to the Prešeren Monument.

Option 2 — Longer tour (~3 hours)

A longer hike including Rožnik Hill, Tivoli Park, and the historic city centre.

• Meeting point: in front of the conference venue (Faculty of Computer and Information Science, FRI)
• Start: promptly at 15:00 — please arrive on time

Getting there — on foot: from the Pošta bus stop, walk towards Tivoli Park and continue straight towards Celovška cesta. At the traffic lights, cross Celovška cesta at the intersection with Pivovarniška ulica — Pivnica Union is just across the road, at Celovška cesta 22.

Getting there — by bus: from the Pošta stop, take bus No. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, or 25 in the direction of Tivoli and get off at the Tivoli stop. Pivnica Union is just a few metres away.

Drinks: a limited budget has been set aside for drinks at the dinner. Once this budget is used, participants are responsible for their own drinks.
